In the parking garage of the Century City mall last night, I saw something I hadn't seen before:

  1. Anonymous10:37 AM

when i was last in florida, i saw something similar. it had a stork on the sign and wasn't pink-- a little more politically correct than a pink parking space, no?

but what i don't get is since when are pregnant women discouraged from walking? moderate exercise is supposed to be good for pregnant women, i thought. why is pregnancy being treated as a handicap? isn't that sort of chauvinist and sexist?

  2. Yes, possibly.
I wondered "how pregnant" you have to be.

And yes, we've really appropriated pink for all things feminine. You say "pink," I now think
    Breast Cancer
Victoria's Secret clothes for sorority girls
    pregnant women's parking

    in that order.
